Dec 29, 2020 | by Glynis Eckert

Larry H. Miller Toyota of Lemon Grove has once again opened its generous arms to the San Diego community. On December 16, 2020, a check for $10,000 was given to benefit the local families in need through Salvation Army Kroc Center's assistance programs.

Each year, the dealership asks its employees which charity they would like to support. Collectively the team decided the local Salvation Army Kroc Center’s “Toy n Joy Workshop & Angel Tree program” should be supported this Christmas. A $10,000 check was provided to the Kroc Center’s Family Resource Center to purchase toys, food, and other assistance for the community.

“With the impact of COVID-19, the scale of need around the holidays is greater than ever,” said Major Rick Peacock, Corps Officer and Executive Director of the Salvation Army Kroc Center. “We are so blessed to have this Christmas donation help our efforts to provide a happy Christmas to local families in need.”

Larry H. Miller Toyota of Lemon Grove has a long history of giving back and has done so by caring for their employees, their customers, and their community. Entering the last quarter of this daunting 2020 year, many have found themselves without work, unwell, or simply overwhelmed. Larry H. Miller Toyota of Lemon Grove realized this is the perfect time to bolster some encouragement for those who are in the most need. Donating to the Salvation Army was a sure-fire way to give back to the community they serve in an especially practical way.
