Normal Camp hours are 9:00AM – 4:00PM. We are offering added extended hours to parents at no additional cost from 7:30AM-9:00AM and 4:00PM – 5:00PM. While schedules vary slightly by age group, most campers can expect a fun, structured day that may include:

  • Sports & active play
  • Swimming or water activities
  • Ice skating or specialty activities (select camps)
  • Arts, crafts & creative time
  • Group games and team-building

A more detailed schedule will be shared the week before your camp session.
SAMPLE CAMP SCHEDULE

Please send your camper with:

  • A labeled water bottle
  • Comfortable athletic clothing & closed-toe shoes
  • Swimsuit & towel
  • Light jacket or sweatshirt
  • Sunscreen (applied before arrival recommended)
  • Optional: Hat, extra change of clothes for younger campers

Please leave valuables, toys, and electronics at home.

Campers are required to wear socks and closed-toe shoes daily. Campers should wear season appropriate clothes in which they are ready to play hard and get dirty! For girls, we do not recommend skirts or dresses. If your child’s camp is scheduled to swim, a swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen will also be needed. Sandals are allowed on the pool deck only. Please label all items and place them in a backpack for your campers to carry. Our Camp provides protective equipment for activities, however, campers are always welcome to bring their own helmets for ice skating.

Pee Wee Parents: Please send your child in clothing and footwear he or she can put on without assistance. We strongly recommend sending your camper with a second set of clothes (in case your camper has a bathroom accident). Pee Wee camp is scheduled for a daily “quiet time” during which the campers may either take a brief nap or do a quiet activity. Parents are encouraged to send children with a blanket, special book, or something else that helps the child relax. No valuables, please.

Drop-Off:

Time: 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM, Monday - Friday

Staff will be present to check campers in safely

Pick-Up:

Time: 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday

ID WILL be required for authorized pick-up

Please arrive on time—consistent routines help campers feel comfortable and confident.

Campers must be signed in and out of camp each day by an authorized adult in the presence of Kroc Center staff. Parents and authorized adults must be at least 18 years of age and present current photo I.D. when signing their camper(s) out. Children will be released only to those listed as authorized to pick-up. Valid forms of ID include: California State I.D., Driver’s License, Military I.D., or Passport. All changes to the list of adults authorized to sign out a child must be completed on the Change of Authorization form by the parent who enrolled the child in camp. Please be prepared to show identification when making changes. Children must be 12 years of age or older to sign themselves out of camp, and will only be allowed to do so after 3:30 p.m. Parents wishing to give their children permission to sign themselves out may write the child’s name on the waiver in the space provided for authorized adults.

Yes! We’ll send a Camp Welcome Email the week prior to your session with:

  • Final schedule details
  • Group assignments
  • Any camp-specific instructions

The email will come from Youth Development Director, Molly Dillon. [email protected] | Save this email to your safe contacts

Lunch and a morning/afternoon snack are provided to each camper free of cost! If a camper is a picky eater, has allergies or has dietary restrictions, we encourage parents to pack a lunch from home. Our daily schedules are very flexible and vary depending upon the activities planned for your child’s camp. The typical time frame for lunch is thirty minutes between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Snack and lunch menus will be emailed to parents the Friday before the scheduled camp and will also be available for pick-up each Monday at the sign-in table.

  • Talk through the day so your child knows what to expect
  • Label everything (seriously—it helps!)
  • Reassure them—it’s normal to feel a little nervous on day one
  • Our staff are trained to support and engage every camper

We are happy to assist your child with their medical needs. Medication(s) must be in their original prescription container with the child’s name printed on the label and placed in a plastic bag. Please check-in the medication at the Day Camp Office and complete a Medical Information Sheet. Kroc Center staff will not dispense non-prescription medications without written parental consent.

If a camper is too ill or hurt to continue their camp day, parents will be immediately contacted. For minor scrapes and bruises, Day Camp staff will complete a Report to Parent (RTP) form to notify parents of the event at pick-up time. Is there any financial assistance for families? Financial Assistance & Scholarship Program Individuals, families, and seniors who cannot afford Kroc Center membership or fees for youth camps and/or group classes can apply for a discount. Applicants for services will meet with a Family Resource Center associate for an assessment to build upon strengths and assets, and assist with meeting identified areas of need.
