Kroc Center Figure Skating

Welcome Figure Skaters!

Kroc Center Ice offers specialty classes & practice ice for Figure Skaters.
We have created a great community of figure skaters of all levels, and offer specialty classes and practice ice for recreational & competitive skaters.

Freestyle Session Etiquette & Rules

All Freestyle sessions are on a “day of” first come, first serve basis. - No call in or online registration.

Figure Skating Coaches

As we are a community center with child safety protocols, ALL guest & local figure skating coaches must apply and receive management approval prior to coaching on any Kroc Center Ice session (Public and/or Freestyle). Coaching privileges may be revoked at any time and is at the sole discretion of ice arena management. Please contact Skating Manager for full information: [email protected]

Figure Skating Classes

Skaters receive guest passes for Public Skating/Freestyle Session admission.

JUMPS & SPINS
Skaters must have met pre-req of All Stars & Intro to Jumps & Spins. Skaters will learn skills from ISI (Ice Sports Industry) level Freestyle 1-4. This class teaches core figure skating jumps & spins: tap toe jumps, waltz jumps, ½ rotation & full rotation jump positions, 2 foot spins, upright spins, and variations of spin & jump positions. Skaters will learn jumps up to the Axel in this fun interactive seminar style class.

All Figure Skaters are invited to perform! Space is limited – sign up online to secure your spot!

Interested in performing in our recitals?

Skaters perform choreographed programs created by professional figure skating coaches. Lessons are booked directly with coach. It usually takes a minimum of 4 lessons to complete a program. Skaters then practice the choreography on Freestyle Figure Skating sessions. Music is played over the sound system and skills are perfected. Recitals showcase the hard work and dedication to learning skills and performing is FUN!

Family & friends are welcome to attend recitals– no extra fees!

Freestyle Calendar

Freestyle Sessions

Kroc Center Ice is home to many recreational and competitive figure skaters of all ages. Freestyle Sessions are practice times for Figure Skaters.

Freestyle sessions are for practicing jumps, spins, footwork, ice dancing, and competitive programs. Skaters must have own skates and be comfortable skating forwards and backwards and be able to yield to other skaters.

SESSIONS ARE AVAILABLE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS. NO ONLINE SALES.
