SAFETY REMINDERS

  • It is imperative that your child has a reusable water bottle Every day!
  • Handwashing is the most effective preventative measure for spreading illness. Campers will be washing hands before and after every meal, as well as before and after each activity
  • If children become ill while in our care, parents will be called to pick them up
  • No camper will ever be alone with a staff member
  • Children must always stay with the group
  • All children and parents must abide by the camp code of conduct & behavior expectations. Violence or bullying of any type will NOT be tolerated
  • These are just a few of our important safety reminders. We highly recommend that you review our parent handbook for more health and safety information.

WHAT TO BRING DAILY & CLOTHING

  • PLEASE SEND A REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE!
  • We will be providing breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack for your children. We encourage sending extra snacks with your camper as they will be very active! If your child has a food allergy, please reach out to the camp office to discuss reasonable accommodations. We will not be able to have alternatives ready for your child if you haven’t reached out to let us know. If your child doesn’t like the options offered, we recommend sending your child with a lunch they will eat. The menu for the week is attached to this email.
  • Backpack labeled with your child’s name
  • Close toed shoes (sandals can only be worn on the pool deck)
  • Hat and sunglasses are recommended
  • Sunscreen face stick – this greatly prevents red, painful eyes!
  • Sweater or jacket for cold mornings
  • An all-sport helmet if your child is ice skating

CLOTHING

Swimming

  • We highly encourage sending your child with their water clothes under their regular clothing in the morning
  • this greatly reduces the stress and difficulty children have when changing for swim time
  • Please ensure you pack a towel for your child
  • Please see the swim days listed on the camp schedule

Ice Skating

  • On ice skating days please send long pants, long sleeves, and a helmet with your child in their backpack if they will be skating. It is highly recommended that they bring gloves as well.

Please Do NOT send the following with your child

  • Electronics (phones, tablets, video games, smart watches)
  • Expensive Jewelry
  • Money
  • Toys, Pokémon cards, or sharable items

MEDICAL INFORMATION FORM

  • All medications must be brought to camp in their original packaging with the prescription label in your child’s name
  • Medications must be signed into the camp office by a parent
  • If your child has an inhaler, you still need to fill out the medication form and sign the “permission to carry” section if your child will be carrying their own inhaler.

Download the form

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • We need a new registration form/waiver on file for your child if you haven’t completed one this summer. If you registered online, please print, fill out, and bring the 2024 registration/waiver on your child’s first day of camp.

  • Camps must be paid in full the Monday of the week prior to the start date of each camp
  • Camp hours are from 7:30am to 5pm
  • Our late pick-up policy states that you will be charged $1/minute after 5pm
  • Drop off & pick up is at the field gate between 7:30-8:45am/3:30-5pm
  • Drop off: please walk your child to the sign in table inside corner zone or the community room, sign them into camp, and they will be escorted to the camper’s choice stations.
  • Pick up: At pick up, your camper needs to be signed out by an adult who is listed as an authorized pick up on the account. We will NOT release the child to anyone who is not on the authorized list
  • PLEASE avoid picking your child up between 3-3:30pm! When parents come early before 3:30 it causes a lot of congestion at the camp office, and campers are not back at the field yet. We greatly appreciate you waiting until pick up time at 3:30pm at the field gate to sign your child out for the day!

REFUND POLICY

If a camp is cancelled by a parent, the fee will be refunded to a Kroc center gift card. Deposits are non- refundable. No refunds will be given if requested 7 or less days before the camp begins. The refund/cancellation policy is located on page 6 of the parent handbook.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out via email.
The camp leadership team will be available to answer any questions you may have on Monday morning during drop off. If you need to get ahold of us during the camp week, please call us at (619) 269-1470. We look forward to seeing you and your campers on Monday!
