Kroc Updates & Covid-19 Safety Information

Your Safety is Our Priority

The Kroc Center will be following all local & state guidelines as it comes to the COVID-19 virus. Below are some of the steps we are taking within our facility to help keep our members, guests and staff safe.

When to wear a mask

Current restrictions include:

• Masks must be worn at all times
• Lap Swim is available by reservation only
• Indoor activities are restricted

How is Fitness equipment spaced?
We have spaced out the equipment under tents so that they’re at least 6’ apart. We encourage members to show true Kroc Center spirit by being patient and respectful of other users- choose a piece that's not directly next to another user, keep your use of each piece to a minimum and keep walkways clear as possible.

How will the equipment be disinfected?
Please use the provided Gym Wipes to disinfect the equipment before & after your use. Cleaning Crew will perform a thorough spray-disinfecting at 10:00am & 2:30pm. Please schedule your workout in consideration of these cleaning blocks.

Are pools safe to use?
According to the CDC, there is no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to people through pool water and that disinfection of the water (with       chlorine or bromine) should inactivate the virus. Our pool water is disinfected with chlorine. To increase social distancing and sanitation on the pool deck we reduced seating and spread out the remaining seating. Our staff are disinfecting contact surfaces such as railings above the water surfaces and doorknobs. We have temporarily removed shared-use, porous exercise equipment such as noodles and exercise belts.
Members are welcome to bring their own noodles and belts or purchase one of ours and make it your own!

The Kroc Center is excited to welcome all our members back to our community center! Though always in our hearts, we couldn’t be happier to finally see you! Our spirits were lifted by the generosity of our members and the sense of community that prevailed during this difficult time for all. That same sense of community is crucial to safely carrying us through this next Phase and ensuring our doors will remain open.

Safety Guidelines

Masks: You must wear a mask at all times at the Kroc Center with the exception of actively swimming in the lap pool.

Designed for Social Distance: All areas inside The Kroc have been redesigned, where possible, to assist with social distancing between members and staff.

Stay Home if You’re Sick: Members should stay home if they don’t feel well. The CDC and state public health officials encourage seniors and members of vulnerable populations, including those with underlying health conditions, to stay at home. If you answer yes to any of the following you should stay home:
• Do you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills or sneezing?
• Have you had any contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

Check-In: Members will be asked to verbally check-in to their reservation to allow for limited contact entry. Please bring your membership card or barcode to avoid staff having to look up members and delay the entry process.

Equipment: Bring your own mat for group exercise or stretching. Bring you own basketball if you have one.

Cleaning Equipment: Continue to wipe down equipment with the provided cleaner before and after your workout.

Locker Rooms: Please come dressed for your activity. Locker Rooms are not currently available. Industry professionals are HIGHLY recommending locker rooms not be initially opened. We are following this recommendation to not initially open our lockers, showers, or cell phone lockers. Locker Rooms are available for toilets and sinks ONLY. We encourage you to bring a “waist pack” for your smaller items that you do not want to leave in your car.

Day Passes: Are available for purchase online or at the front desk for Open Air Gym access only.
