Kroc Updates & Covid-19 Safety Information

Your Safety is Our Priority

The Kroc Center will be following all local & state guidelines as it comes to the COVID-19 virus. Below are some of the steps we are taking within our facility to help keep our members, guests and staff safe.
 

The Kroc Center is excited to welcome all our members back to our community center! Though always in our hearts, we couldn’t be happier to finally see you! Our spirits were lifted by the generosity of our members and the sense of community that prevailed during this difficult time for all. That same sense of community is crucial to safely carrying us through this next Phase and ensuring our doors will remain open.

The Kroc Center’s Pledge to our members:

  • Follow all Federal, State & County mandates
  • Maintain 6’ of physical distance Ensure associates wear masks in all common areas
  • Ensure associates monitor their health & remain home if ill or have been in contact with someone who is*
  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned after use
  • Engage with our members through frequently through multiple channels, including virtual classes, online live chat tools, and text messages, emails and social media
  • Open venues and activity areas for use safely and in consideration of feasible distancing
  • Closely monitor all activity areas and address safety and sanitation concerns immediately
  • Maintain and document ongoing cleaning, as well as facility-wide deep cleaning twice daily
  • Communicate often regarding hours, program opportunities and participation parameters
  • Serve our community through ongoing support offered in the Family Resource Center
  • Meet the spiritual needs of our community through prayer and virtual fellowship

Members Pledge:

  • Complete daily pre-check prior to entry & utilize touch-free (key fob) entry at Guest Services
  • Maintain 6’ of physical distance
  • Wear a mask at all times (unless lap swimming)
  • Monitor your health and remain home if ill or have been in contact with someone who is*
  • Respect scheduled time slot
  • Wipe down equipment after use
  • Wash hands with soap & water regularly
  • Report any safety or sanitation concerns to Kroc Center staff
  • Limit belongings brought into the facility to those that can be kept in a small pouch / belt (traditional lockers and small wallet lockers current unavailable).
  • Decrease contact of communal surfaces by bringing own towel, water bottle and exercise mat*See Wellness Pre-*Check Questionnaire regarding criteria for remaining home if you are ill or have been in contact with someone who is.

 

Safety Guidelines

INDOOR MASK POLICY
For the health and safety of our guests and team members, with the CDC’s updated guidance in regards to high risk areas, effective Thursday, August 12, 2021 we REQUIRE face coverings for ALL (including vaccinated) staff, members and guests while indoors unless they are actively engaged in HIGH EXERTION ACTIVITY*.
 
As children 11 and under** are not eligible for vaccinations, they are REQUIRED to wear masks, unless they are actively engaged in HIGH EXERTION ACTIVITY.*
 
We REQUIRE masks for ALL spectators of indoor events/games (nonparticipants).
This mostly refers to Theatre Productions and Gymnasium Games. Signage will be posted.
 
*The following list is deemed indoor HIGH EXERTION activity.
(Though masks are not required while actively participating in these activities, we recommend wearing a face covering if you feel you can safely do so.)

  • - Exercise on machines, with weights, or in a class.
  • - Ice Skating
  • - Sports Leagues/Play (basketball, hockey, pickleball, volleyball)

Stay Home if You’re Sick: Members should stay home if they don’t feel well. The CDC and state public health officials encourage seniors and members of vulnerable populations, including those with underlying health conditions, to stay at home. If you answer yes to any of the following you should stay home:
• Do you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills or sneezing?
• Have you had any contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

Equipment: Bring your own mat for group exercise or stretching. Bring you own basketball if you have one.

Cleaning Equipment: Continue to wipe down equipment with the provided cleaner before and after your workout.

Locker Rooms:  Locker rooms are open. Please do your best to rinse and change as briefly as possible

Day Passes: Are available for purchase online or at the front desk.

Classes: Classes are available for purchase.
