Important Construction Notice: Road Closures near Kroc Corner Zone for Flooding Mitigation Project
Dear Kroc Center Community,
We hope this message finds you well. We're reaching out to inform you about an upcoming La Mesa construction project that will impact the streets surrounding the Kroc Corner Zone. This project is essential for mitigating the persistent flooding problem at the intersection and ensuring the safety and accessibility of our community.
Starting in May 2024 to October 2024, the following streets will be closed:
- Boulevard Drive
- 69th Street
- The Intersection of Boulevard Drive and 69th Street
During this time, access to University Ave. via 69th Street will not be available. We kindly ask you to detour to Salvation Drive off University – our main entrance.
The construction project is scheduled to commence in May 2024 and is expected to be completed by October 2024. We understand that road closures may cause inconvenience, but please rest assured that every effort will be made to minimize disruptions and complete the project efficiently. Access to the Corner Zone will not be disrupted. The Family Resource Center will remain open. Food distribution will still occur on Fridays.
