For Educators

The Kroc Center is passionate about being a community resource for Educators!

Throughout the school year, we have 10+ partner schools engaged in enrichment programs from arts and literacy to fitness and life savings swim lessons.

We work with our local schools to serve families through our Christmas Toy N’ Joy Shop and with the USDA Summer Feeding Programing.

The Kroc Center is an affordable and exciting destination for field trips, school performances, and staff meetings.

School Partnerships and offerings

Kroc Field Trips

Book your next field trip at the Kroc Center! Celebrate and engage your students with a fun and affordable field trip. Your students can have a blast at our Corner Zone Inflatable and Zipline Indoor Park, ice skating rink, heated pools with climbing tower and floating obstacle course, gymnasium and field games, and 2-story climbing tower. Students can also visit our Children’s Library, STEAM lab, dance studios, and playground with triple slide and spinning seats. Work with our team to build a custom field trip for your celebration.

Meeting Space

The Kroc Center’s 12.4 acres has meeting spaces that can meet any budget from smaller meeting spaces of 10 guests to our state-of-the-art theatre with seating for up to 540 attendees.

Getting staff offsite can have the benefit of breaking down boundaries and re-energizing your team. They will bond through team building and leave re-focused by getting them out of their normal routine, which boosts long-term productivity.

Kroc Family Arts & Literacy Program

Launched in 2006, the Family Arts and Literacy Program provides art instruction for all third, fourth and fifth grade students in eleven local schools. An art instructor brings materials, books and curriculum to teach monthly art lessons in the schools with a culminating free event each month.

Kroc Fit Kids

Launched in 2011, the Kroc Fit Kids program collaborates with partner elementary schools to increase weekly minutes of physical activity, expose children to fun, new forms of exercise and help combat and prevent childhood obesity. The 6-month program includes once monthly assemblies held at the schools in which Kroc Center staff teach the children about various aspects of health and wellness and monthly field trips to the Kroc Center in which the students walk approximately 1 mile to & from the Kroc Center then participate in a variety of activities. Additionally, participating teachers are provided with resources to led regular 5–10-minute bouts of deskside-activity to keep the kids active and the children are given guest passes to experience the Kroc Center with their families.

Kroc Swim Program

The Hervey Family Fund grant is an extremely generous gift that provides 100% free swim lessons to children in our community. The Kroc Center Aquatics Department partners with two nearby schools to teach approximately 250 Kindergarten – 2nd grade students the critical life skill of water safety each year. We are currently in our 7th year of teaching children to swim.

Kroc Christmas Program

Annually starting on October 1^st, the Kroc Center works with 11 local low-income partners schools to serve low-income families with Christmas assistance including toys and food for children ages 0-12.

Kroc Home School Charter Program

The Kroc Center is currently a vendor for Pacific Coast Academy/Inspire Charter School as well as Literacy First Charter Schools Freedom Academy. Students at these schools can find us on their school’s vendor list for enrichment activity enrollment. Class/program approvals are sent by the school to Deidra Davis of The Kroc Center for enrollment.

PRE-K Family Read & Play Day

A free monthly daytime event for children five and under to help get them excited about reading. Each event includes a book reading featuring our book of the month, playtime with the imagination playground made of fun foam blocks, and a free book for families to add to their home library. The Family Read & Play Days take place in the Education Building from 10-11AM.

Family Arts & Literacy Nights

Family Arts & Literacy Nights is where parents can enjoy a live performance, an art project for the entire family, and a free book for each household! These free family friendly events are hosted to enrich children's lives by encouraging a love for knowledge, as well as presenting them with fun, interactive art projects and performances. Events are held in person from 6:30-8:00pm
