The Kroc Center has so many activities happening right now for all ages! We invite you to come out to our campus where COVID safety is top of mind while we engage in fitness fun. 

 

Children's Recess

We know how challenging it can be to have children learning from a distance at home. Take a break and sign your child up for recess! Each Tuesday afternoon we have activities on the field for ages 4-12 (and a second session on Thursday for kids ages 4-7!) and on Tuesday afternoons kids aged 8-12 can participate in guided swim activities in our recreation pool. It's FREE for members!

 

Boot Camp with Alyssa

Need to kickstart your fitness before the holidays? Join us on Thursday mornings for this progression based Boot Camp class. Sessions are offered on the gym courts and exercises are modified to meet individual goals and abilities. 

 

Intro to Water Polo

Looking for something new for your water-loving 8-13 year old? Water Polo participants will learn core dryland (socially distanced) and in-water fundamental skills through specialized drills in a non-competitive challenging and positive environment. Offensive and Defensive positioning and game play will be introduced through lecture portions and individual skill work, these clinics are non-contact. Sessions are open to girls and boys without previous water polo experience, participants must able to swim 50 yards of freestyle with side breathing.

 

Parent Supervised Swim Practice

While we're not yet offering open swim, you CAN bring your children to swim in our Rec Pool to practice their swimming skills while keeping a safe distance from other users. Offered Monday evenings and Wednesday afternoons, each reservation gives a 45 minute session to practice. Parents must be in the water and with no more than 2 children. If both children don't reach our pool height measurement at least 1 must be in an approved life jacket. Note: make your reservation under your child's name.

 

PlayCare is back

Let our trained staff keep your kids entertained while you get in a workout! Offered: Tuesdays from 8:45am - 10:15am and Friday evening from 5:15 - 6:15pm. We'll be outside keeping the kids active for most sessions and slowly begin introducing indoor play with limited toys and frequent cleaning.

 

Sports Clinics
Whether it's dribbling a basketball, spiking a volleyball, or kicking a soccer ball, each sport class will emphasis building the essential individual skills needed for success. We prioritize the health and safety of each participant by maintaining social distancing between all players and coaches. 

 

Stroller Strength with Sara

Ready to get moving but your little one is a bit too young for PlayCare? Join Sara for a fun, inspirational session on Tuesdays at 9am. Sign your "big kid" up for PlayCare and take your little with your onto the courts in a stroller or car seat and get fit! 

 

Swim Lessons

There's no better time to learn to swim than the Fall! The pools are heated year-round (and our weather is, too!). Just like most parents work to prevent loss of learning during the summer, our goal is to prevent loss of swim skills during the "school year". Learning to swim is an essential life skill and also promotes confidence and will help your child safely enjoy pool time heading into spring and summer. Group and Private lessons offered. Adult Lessons offered, too.
