The Kroc Scholarship Program

The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Center is pleased to provide a scholarship program to help provide access to The Kroc Center. It was Joan Kroc's vision and expectation that all individuals have equal opportunities to grow their natural gifts and talents. Scholarships are available for both family and individual memberships. How to Apply

All scholarships for the San Diego Kroc Center memberships are handled and processed in the gymnasium. Please be advised that the documentation needed for membership scholarships may differ slightly from scholarships in the Family Resource Center. Fill out the following application and upload all the attachments before submission.

Please read before applying:

Specify the type of membership
List all persons in the household
Identification verification of all persons in the household must be provided
All persons of the household must report their income
If you have a unique income situation (self-employment, variable income, etc.) please note that further documentation may be required and processing times may be longer
Please note that all scholarships are valid for 1 year from the day of registration and may not be altered at any time during that year

Before proceeding to the application, please gather the following documents:

Previous year's income tax return
Proof of income: Two most recent paystubs, Government assistance, Unemployment, Disability, Social Security, etc.
Photo ID is required for all adults 18+
Birth certificate or immunization records for all minors

All documents listed above should be uploaded as attachments before submission. If any of the documents are missing, you will need to complete the application again. The following documents are required for all members living in the residence including: roommates, extended family and non-family members. Failure to list the named persons will result in application denial or disqualification. After your submission is complete, you will be sent an email receipt. If you would like to follow up on details regarding your submission, you can contact [email protected]. Office hours may vary. Current office hours will be listed in the email receipt

How to Renew Your Scholarship

Please allow a few days for your application to be reviewed.
If you qualify for a scholarship, you will be notified and membership will be automatically renewed.
