Kroc Center Scholarship Campaign

Joan Kroc’s vision was to provide world-class programs to children, adults, and seniors in our service area, regardless of their financial circumstance. Money raised during the annual Kroc Center Scholarship Campaign affords community members the opportunity to participate in programs that encourage them to discover their talents, and promote creativity, wellness, and spiritual discovery.

Emergency Food Assistance

When times are tough, the Kroc Center serves as a resource for Family Resource Center clients who find themselves without money to put food on their tables. The Kroc Center provides emergency food assistance to 160 households, more than 1,000 people a month. Food boxes are also given to 700 community members during the holiday season. The Kroc Center is always in need of the following food items: Peanut butter, canned meat (chicken, fish), canned vegetables and fruit, pasta, beans, boxed cereal, oatmeal, and boxed side dishes.

School Supply Drive

Send local kids back to school with pride. Along with The Salvation Army and generous community support, The Kroc Center stuffs brand new backpacks with pencils, paper, crayons and all the supplies needed for kids to feel great and be prepared for the first day of school.

To ensure babies get the best start in life and grow to be happy and healthy, the Kroc Center provides qualified FRC clients with formula, diapers, and wipes, when the resources are available.

From immediate relief, to short-term help, to long-term, sustainable change, we are dedicated to serving the physical, mental and spiritual needs of the poor, the lonely, and the lost.

Furniture, Clothing, Vehicle & Other Donations

All proceeds from The Salvation Army Family Stores are used to fund shelters, soup line and drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs. By shopping at or donating to a Salvation Army Family Store, you bring hope to those in need in our community.
