Sandra Maas // Celebration Host

Meet our Emcee for the afternoon, Sandra Maas, an award-winning journalist, and veteran news anchor. Maas is an advocate for women's empowerment and serves as V.P. of External Affairs for the "Women's Museum of California" where she hosts the monthly video series "Trailblazing Women."

Alex Montoya
Keynote speaker

Get inspired with Keynote Speaker, Alex Montoya, a business owner, international speaker, and published author. Montoya is an award-winning TED-X author and speaker. He is the Director of the Alex Montoya Foundation which celebrates disability and immigrant communities. Alex has carried the U.S. Olympic Torch and received a Medal of Honor from the Colombian government. He has published eight books, including one for children. In addition to creating his own foundation, Alex is on the Board of Directors for the Gurmilan Foundation, which supports people with disabilities in San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico. A native of Medellin, Colombia, Alex immigrated as a youth to San Diego, California, where he resides.
